Professional Growing Information I planted these last summer (2023) in zone 6b. I planted 3 in a 36” trough. They filled it out beautifully. They were lovely all summer long. A true bright white. I’m planning to plant more this summer

Superbena verbenas are very vigorous with strongly trailing habits They need relatively long days to bloom and are difficult to produce in small container sizes. They have very large flowers and umbels. They are great in landscapes and containers. In landscapes, they are best used at the front of beds and they function as spillers in combination planters. If you are looking for a colorful annual ground cover, Superbena is a great choice.
We always select for stable colors that give gardeners the most consistent experience possible. However, with some plants there is likely to be some variation over time. Superbena Whiteout will at times naturally change. This can be a single flower in a cluster, a whole umbel of flowers or even an entire branch. For Superbena Whiteout, this color change is most likely to be to either a striped pattern or solid violet. If you prefer that your plant not have this color variation, trimming off the portion of the plant that has flowers with the odd coloration, can minimize how much of your plant ends up with the color change. If you don't mind the new look, there is no need to do anything. It isn't detrimental to the plant in any way. This isn't a common occurrence, but it is something that happens in a small percentage of Superbena Whiteout plants each year.

Superbena are our most vigorous, heat tolerant, and mildew tolerant series. While always great in containers they are also fantastic in landscape beds. They can tolerate dry soils and lower fertility. Normally either an application of slow release fertilizer or amending with compost is enough to keep them happy and blooming in landscape beds. They shouldnt need to be trimmed back but can be given a haircut a trim back using a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears at any time. While naturally well branched, trimming them back will encourage additional branching, fuller plants, and ultimately more flowers. I usually give them a very slight trim as I am transplanting to boost branching.
An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.
Superbena have an early compact habit that becomes a vigorous spreader with strong garden performance. The abundance flowering helps these varieties really stand out in the garden.

Bought this plant in the spring 2022-Started in large pots! Bloomed and spread all summer! Now into the late fall and the plants look very healthy-blooms have stopped but the greenery of the plant looks fantastic. I am trying to replant cuttings in another area! It maybe too late in the season - but trying anyway. Such a wonderful success! I well have to try another color in the spring when this plant is available for purchase.

I loved this plant from May to July! Fantastic mounding in large pots. Solid flowers. …and then in August they started dying slowly one by one. Watering schedule and location remained the same. No pests identified. Seems it just got tired, quit blooming, then died. I do want to try this again but it left my pots empty for remaining 2 months of season. Zone 6a

This meets all my expectations. Large fluffy puffs of white. I teamed it with Supertunia Snowdrift, Diamond Frost Euphorbia and a liquorice plant. Lol, they out grew the liquorice plant. Mid-summer I cut back the Snowdrift petunia and didn't touch the Superbena. The top in euphorbia then a big ring of Snowdrift and a skirt of Superbena White Out to the ground. It's a 24" bright blue ceramic pot and it has been obscured for a while. Superbenas do the best in our extreme summers. I am zone 9 and we are getting long runs of *100f+ temperatures.

Picked one of these up at a professional garden center April 2019 and am already 100% pleased. Massive pure white blooms on strong, sturdy and deep green healthy branches make this one a keeper Already looking to take over the large pot in which it is planted. Needs only water, full sun and a dose of fertilizer every 7-10 days. Spreads like a vine and will likely need to be trimmed 2 or 3 times this season. Probably best combined with other spreading annuals that need loads of sun. I expect this verbena to thrive all summer, as all my PW Superbenas have the last 5-6 years.
