    Uses Notes:

Great for use in landscapes and containers.  If grown in a hanging basket it will climb the chains, which can look pretty cool.  Given something to climb on in landscapes and upright containers, it will do so, otherwise it will sprawl and potentially climb nearby plants.

    Maintenance Notes:

These are heat tolerant plants, that aren't particularly fussy. They need little routine maintenance. They will perform best if an application of controlled release fertilizer is included at the time of planting. This applies to both landscape and container plantings. The plants aren't particularly heavy feeders, so a single dose is usually sufficient for landscape beds in most climates. If you have a very long season, a second application of controlled release plant food should be considered for landscape beds. In general, containers need to be fed more than landscape plants. A second application of a controlled release fertilizer should be applied about every two months to container plants. Do not luxuriously feed these plants as that can cause them to stop flowering.

    • Ordered and planted this Tangerine Slice A-Peel® - Black-Eyed Susan Vine 3 summers. Grows fantastically. One plant goes a long way. Next time I get this though I'm going to buy more than one for an even bigger show. If you're going to grow this plant in a pot be sure it's a larger pot so that the plant has room to grow. Love the black licorice smell of the vine too. Can't wait to grow it again this season.

    • Not only do I love this plant, so does everyone else! The foliage is a lovely shade of green and the bi-color flowers can't be beat. I have this growing in full sun and even in the heat of the day, the foliage stands up to the temperatures of Minnesota. It climbed up my hanging basket trellis beautifully, this is one of the best vines in my garden. Many have asked what the vine is and I am happy to recommend it!

    • I planted 4 of these in a container that has an obelisk in it and they are climbing up beautifully and they cascade down around the stand about 4 feet. They are simply gorgeous and thriving. I love this plant and will make it an annual addition to my garden!!!!!
