My review last autumn was harsh, but this spring, I am happy to admit I was hasty. While Reminiscent Coral was a big disappointment last year, in May it burst into bloom with about a dozen large, healthy, vibrantly colored roses. Each bloom lasted several days and the necks are strong too, so if you are looking for a rose for cutting, this would be a good candidate. So glad I didn’t throw it out. Zone 7A, full sun just about all day.

Maintenance Notes:These easy-care roses defy conventional expectations of what a rose needs to thrive in your landscape. To keep it looking great, simply prune back by at least one third its total height each early spring, just as the new buds begin to emerge on the stems. Make your cut just above a thick, healthy bud, as these produce the most vigorous growth. It can also be fertilized at this time with a granular rose fertilizer. The plant may be deadheaded if desired, but this is not required for continuous bloom.

These are fabulous roses. I planted 4 last season, purchased at a local nursery in May/June. Planted with a lot of composted manure mixed into the soil. They bloomed beautifully and wintered well. Then this spring, the growth exploded. They've already doubled in size, with dozens of giant pink blossoms. I'm an amateur gardener, certainly no expert. So I don't understand the one-star reviews. If I can grow these, anyone can. Just be sure to mix in a good amount of organic material. These are fantastic roses!!!

This rose has been a big disappointment. I saw it last autumn on Garden Answer and fell in love with the radiant coral color. It was the same shade depicted in PW’s Gardener’s Idea Book for 2023. Alas, the one rose the bush has produced is just plain orange. Not coral—orange. And that rose quickly fried in my full sun bed, so I have not found Reminiscent Coral to be heat tolerant as advertised, I have been hoping that the problems with this first bloom were a fluke and the next ones would be more as expected—but the bush has not produced any more roses. Just one, in 3.5 months. Otherwise, the bush seems healthy. This is not the first time I’ve grown roses, either, so I am mystified. Waste of money!

I absolutely love this rose The blooms are huge and it blooms like crazy. The color is a nice saturated coral that hasn't faded in the summer sun. It has stayed short so it is perfect for the front of the bed.
