Absolutely gorgeous in full shade. Until it reverts. I saw this online and searched like crazy to find this variety and bought 6 when I finally did. The color and shape of the leaves is gorgeous. I had two of them in full sun and they bleached out and looked terrible. The ones in the shade looked great for almost the entire season. Then for some reason they looked like they were just a different tinge from getting colder- but they turned to a very basic pink and green coleus that you buy in 8 packs at the big box stores. They are much shorter than other varieties- they only grew about 8" tops. I would not buy again. I love all of the other proven winners coleus- it's so sad because I thought this was going to be my all time favorite.

This wonderful new Coleus for sun and shade features watermelon to coral foliage with golden chartruese accents, forming a very well-branched plant that works well in landscapes and containers. Like all ColorBlaze® Coleus, it is bred to take the heat and bloom very late in the season, if at all, extending its garden performance into the fall. This is a new type of ColorBlaze that is substantially smaller than the rest of the ColorBlaze coleus.
Though we select for stable color patterns, occasionally ColorBlaze® Mini Me™ Watermelon coleus will have variable leaves or branches. Most often, the color change will show up as a dark burgundy leaf or branch. In very rare instances, the entire plant will display the variable color. It is not harmful to the plant in any way. If you like it, simply leave it be. If not, trim off the part of the plant showing the color change. We are working to eliminate this variability in future and appreciate your understanding.

Maintenance Notes:Many people feel that coleus look best before they flower. We have worked hard to choose coleus that bloom late in the season or not at all. To keep foliage in top shape, pinch off the blooms as they appear if you wish.
Rules of Thumb for Overwintering Plants Indoors:
1. Choose only healthy plants
2. Bring Plants indoors before frost damages foliage
3. Treat for disease and insects before bringing plants indoors
4. Place in bright areas and add humidity using pebble trays or spray bottles
5. Be careful not to over water
6 When active growth starts in spring fertilize and prune as needed
7. Introduce your plants slowly to outdoor conditions in spring
An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.
