Professional Growing Information I planted my tiny shrub that came in a quart size pot last October. It leafed out well starting in April (zone 8b) along with the other PW Rose-of-Sharon that I bought locally in 2 and 3 gallon pots). The first of the 3 to bloom (July 19th) was this little Violet Paraplu! It is only 13" tall but has 20 buds on it already. I took off a star because it has been fussy about watering. I check the soil dampness of each shrub before watering and water individually as needed. Initially it seemed to be getting pale so I backed off a little with watering. The foliage darkened up some but when the buds started forming they were yellowing and dropping while the larger shrubs' did not. I am now trying to walk the watering tightrope to find a balance this one is happy with. Hopefully it will be less fussy as it gets larger. But it has beautiful blossoms! I would definitely buy it again. I tried to add a photo, but the form wouldn't accept it.
