    Features

This isn’t your grandma’s African Violet! Instead, this is a “flame violet” known as Velvet Tapestry ‘Cleopatra’. The alluring leaves of this Episcia are soft & textured in shades of green, outlined in bright pink & white. She is as exceptionally beautiful as her namesake! With velvety foliage in a mosaic of colors, ‘Cleopatra’ is extraordinary, as is, but on rare occasions, she will do you one better and bloom in bright, fiery shades!

    Maintenance Notes:
    • For optimal performance, keep your Flame Violet at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
    • Flame Violets prefer medium to bright, indirect light. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight, however, or the leaves may get bleached out or sunburned.
    • Flame Violets prefer average to high humidity, and detest dry wintertime drafts. They would make an ideal plant for a bathroom, kitchen, or terrarium.
    • Flame Violets prefer evenly moist, but not wet or soggy soil. Please water your Flame Violet with room temperature water to prevent unsightly leaf spots from forming.
    • Feed your Flame Violet once per month at half strength to encourage flowering. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized.
    • Protect furniture when watering & fertilizing.
    • When repotting your Flame Violet, use an all-purpose potting mix, with plenty of organic matter and perlite added to ensure good drainage.
