    Maintenance Notes:

Spirea does not require regular pruning, but can be trimmed after flowering to encourage a fresh flush of colorful new growth. Though it should be watered regularly its first season, once it is established, spirea tolerates dry conditions quite well.

Like most variegated plants, occasional reversions to the original green form may occur. These should be pruned out as needed.

    Fun Facts:

This plant was in our trial garden for several seasons, and everyone who saw it asked us when we were introducing it. Now, everyone can grow this splashy variegated spirea!

    • I love the variegation on this plant. It is stunning when it's covered in blooms or not. I have alkaline soil and have to treat this with chelated iron to keep it healthy throughout the season. I noticed this last year it attracted tons of aphids so I plan to keep a better eye on it this year.

    • This is plant is fantastic. The leaves by themselves are beautiful. The deer and rabbits haven't bothered it at all. It qrows quickly with very little maintenance.
