    • I purchased 3 grasses in the spring of 2020, along with 5 other plants All were planted along a fence by our pool. I echo the other reviewers. The three Prairie Winds grew very little during the season. One died and the other two are about 6” tall. I hope that year two is better.

    • I purchased two of these plants. One arrived DOA, and the other one was put in the ground as a 4" pot, taken care of according to PW instructions, and today it is still the size of a 4" pot! It has become the laughing stock of my garden. I have no clue as to why it will not grow...it is green, but it is as if time has stood still for this little plant. I guess I received a miniature plant, that might be destined for a terrarium...it is about 4" high, a far cry from 4'! Sometimes you just get lemons. I would NOT recommend this plant if you live in Florida.

    • I splurged and bought this Plant Online last spring. First time I did that. Plant came, little plug of a thing...about 4 inches high, 3 inches diameter. I was concerned but Proven Winners encouraged me. I planted it in a large 16 inch pot On a full sun roof deck. It did grow to about 1 1/2 -2 feet high and about 7 inches in diameter over the growing season. Was a lovely straight tallish Corner backdrop for my Other pots. As directed I cut it back to about 5 inches in late November and it wintered outside looking like a small bristle of straw. Then this spring it began to return and now in early June it is already a glorious 12 high by 12 inch diameter bushy green grass. I can’t wait to see how tall it gets this year and begins to get the lovely bluish leaves and then later purplish. I am thrilled that it returned as promised. Thank you Proven Winners for your great plant and wise advice.

    • Got this plant this spring. First time I bought a plant online. Arrived as just a 4 inch tall plug about size of soup can. I was nervous and a bit skeptical about eventual size. I planted it in a large 18 inch? wide planter on full sun roof deck. It took a while but then went gangbuster. Now over 2 feet tall and fills at least 2/3 of planter. Looks beautiful especially with the purple fall color, just like the photos you have on this site.. I did nothing but water it dailyand fertilize it once a month. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will survive the winter. (I think you advised to cut it down to about 4 inches near end of November). Next year I would like to add a hardy perennial filler/spiller to the pot for more interest (something that will survive outside). Would love advice on that. Lovely healthy plant. Thank you Proven Winner.
