As a Master Gardener I have a lot of experience with roses and I was excited to get this rose. But, I have to say, the plant I received today is a big disappointment! I realize you ‘trim roses’ for shipment, but this was definitely not a ‘trim to 2 inches,’ for the sake of shipping! The rose you sent me is not even 2 inches tall because it’s an INFANT. There is zero root system, the stems are scrawny and the soil is loosely-packed and it was falling apart before I even opened it. I put it in a container and we’ll see if it grows a little. It’s so scrawny I don’t trust it to plant directly into my garden. I’ll be happy to update the rating, IF this ‘Italian ice’ actually grows. But what you sent me is NOT worth the nearly $22 I paid. I’ll baby it and hope to goodness it grows!
Oso Easy Italian Ice® Rose Rosa x
This variety rebels against the idea that roses are hard to grow! No spraying, no deadheading, just lots of flowers all season long!
Similar to 'Peace' in its coloration, the orange buds of Oso Easy Italian Ice® rose open to soft yellow flowers melting into pink blushed margins. The soft flower color is set off nicely by its dark green, glossy foliage. Flowers are semi-doubled, with 24-30 petals per bloom. This self-cleaning rose has excellent disease-resistance, abundant flowers, and a nice habit, making it an excellent plant for home gardens.

Based on the photos, I thought these were going to be a much softer color than what I ended up with…the color is much more saturated than what I was looking for. They were pretty, but didn’t work for any of my beds. Pretty and easy to care for, they just weren’t for me,Jessann, Virginia, United States, 6 weeks ago
Invincible, even in the Sonoran desert! I bought this little gem last year and popped him in the ground in full sun in my flower bed/flower graveyard. I didn't have a lot of faith he would make it through the blast fernace that is the Phoenix summer, (We spent 22 days at or above 110 degrees last year). To my surprise he did well, he had decent new growth and blooms. He took the winter looking a little worse for the ware, a little bald, and a little scraggly, but last month he burst back vigorously and is growing like a weed. I couldn't be happier. There are very few traditional garden beauty's that thrive in such a barren place. Proven Winners has provided us desert folks with a unicorn plant. Low maintenance, traditional, invincible. This plant is truly a miracle!Tess, Arizona, United States, 7 weeks ago

We bought 3 of these to plant in our garden below our front window, 3 yrs ago. They have been more & more spectacular every yr. My husband & I love being greeted by their beautiful scent every time we open our front door. I had been looking for many yrs for a rose that resembled the Peace rose. I was thrilled to find this rose & even happier at its performance yr after yr. We love watching the color changes that take place with these blossoms. It reminds me of another rose that does this too - a climbing rose called Joseph's Coat. We get to enjoy these roses all Summer long & into Fall in our area & are the easiest roses to care for that I've ever owned. Just water occasionally & rake underneath them once or twice after each flush of blooms & Enjoy!!K C, Washington, United States, 46 weeks ago
I ordered six 2 gallon size Oso Easy Italian ice Rose Bushes. Five appeared healthy at first; one bloomed the first week it was planted. After it bloomed, it begin to deteriorate. Per instructions from Proven Winner staff, I trimmed the dark stems, removed all spotted dark leaves and basically cut plant down to the ground. Now that rose is perking up with green foliage and appears healthy. The remaining five bushes all had buds on them and they all bloomed the second week and they were beautiful! Once they were done blooming, things went downhill. The leaves turned yellow and many leaves had dark brown/black spots on them. Also, some insect apparently thought they were good eating, as the leaves started having. holes in them. I sprayed NEEM oil lightly on the bushes. Today, 06/16/22, the five bushes are looking pretty bad. The leaves are falling off, there are no buds, but I do see some new growth. I have taken very good care of these roses and am hoping they will survive, as they are beautiful; and my order was quite expensive! I assumed that the roses would look like those advertised (in the video) and I thought they would be blooming all summer. I didn't do my homework, and now know that since they are newly planted roses (first year), it will take a year or two to bloom heartily. I wish this was explained in the advertisement. I am hoping that the roses will perk up and bloom as beautifully as they did the first week we planted them. (We used good quality compost, top soil, along with quality mulch to keep the soil moist. We planted them as instructed and do not overwater them (and when we water them it is below the leaves, not from the top). The staff at Proven Winners have all been very helpful and have been advising me what to expect with these first year rose bushes. I am optimistic that the six Oso Easy Italian ice rose bushes will improve, grow and look like the beautiful multi-colored ones in Proven Winners advertisements and videos. Thank you for letting me share my experience.Mary Boggs, Ohio, United States, 48 weeks ago
Purchased 7 of these roses and in may they had plenty buds. Now this month the plants have dried up and looks to have black mildew spots. I believe they will come back next year but what can I do now to get their rest of summer? I’ve purchased a few more and now I’m real worried.V Tillman, Illinois, United States, 49 weeks ago
Hi, we were so excited to purchase this plant as the reviews were fantastic and we are new to gardening and did not want to plant something that needed much care. This rose bloomed great for us last year however this year we do not see any sign of it regrowing. Unfortunately we have waited to long and will be unable to return as we so hoped it would grow again.Donna, Ontario, Canada, 51 weeks ago
I adore this rose. It glows in my gardens. The color stops everyone in their tracks. All of the photos I've taken of it look edited, but they aren't. It's simply stunning. And so easy to grow.Stephanie, New Hampshire, United States, 1 year ago
I bought this last year and it arrived with a bunch of buds, very healthy. It did well all summer. This year it came back even better. Didnt grow much but the colors are stunning. I am very happy. Beware, it is very thorny!!Kim, New York, United States, 1 year ago
