Professional Growing Information This plant is amazing! It is taking over a huge pot. It overtook indigo Supertunia and is much more vigorous than blue veined trailing that’s in the same pot. Gorgeous pink blooms cover the plant. It trails thick without legginess. I bought 10 different types of supertunias this year. And this one (and Bordeaux) top the list of favorites.

Maintenance Notes:These are heat tolerant plants, that aren't particularly fussy and need little routine maintenance. They will perform best if an application of controlled release fertilizer is included at the time of planting. This applies to both landscape and container plantings. Supertunias are heavy feeders, but a single dose is usually sufficient for landscape beds in most climates. If you have a very long season, a second application of controlled release plant food should be considered for landscape plantings. In general, containers need to be fed more than landscape plants. Supertunias in containers will need to be fed more regularly to be their absolute best. A second application of a controlled release fertilizer can be applied about every two months to container plants, which will help. However, for the very best performance I find regularly applying water soluble fertilizer starting about two months after the containers are planted gives the best results. These extra applications of plant food really makes a difference in performance through the summer.
If your plant begins to look open or a bit tired, an allover trim can be beneficial. Use a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears to trim back up to 1/3 of the volume of the plant. I pair any trim with a dose of water soluble fertilizer to provide instant energy to help kickstart new growth, branching and flowering. Your plant will take a week to recover from the trim, but the end result is a fuller plant with more blooms going forward. You may repeat the trim as needed through the season.

I bought this on a whim from a local Greenhouse. I have been on PW's site all winter putting together my wish list for the 2021 growing season. This variety never caught my attention in pictures or description, but when I saw it at the greenhouse, I grabbed it as I do most any Proven Winners I find. I have no regrets with this one. It is loaded with beautiful rosy, detailed blooms. Its habit is incredible trailing beautifully out of the pot it is in. It really is a star, and I hope to find it in my area every year. I highly recommend snapping this one up if you get the chance. The picture may not wow you; but the plant in your garden will blow you away.

I love the growth habit of this plant! The leaf structure is a little more dainty than the other Supertunia’s. Yet it still stands up to the best of them. Absolutely perfect in larger hanging baskets!

I was sent this Supertunia Trailing (Mini) Rose Veined as a free gift for my first order here and I have been absolutely delighted with it's performance. This plant is by far the best, most prolific bloomer I've ever grown with pretty foliage all summer long. It's hardy in my hot and humid Florida climate but seems to thrive even as fall approaches with 50 degree temperatures at night. I will buy this particular Supertunia every year if I can. I've had to resort to buying online because I can't find Supertunias locally.

This plant is beyond amazing! They are packed full of blooms and have grown 2+ feet in trailing length. I planted these both in the landscape as well as containers and both have exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to buy these again next year!

I was able to get both hanging planters and 4" pots several years ago from my local retailers and loved this petunia for its showiness and ability to stand up to heat in my 7 window boxes. Trailed beautifully without getting leggy! The past 4 years gave not been able to find it at any of the 5 Proven Winners retailers in my location and am disappointed with the choices I've had to resort to. Looked gorgeous mixed with the magenta supertunia . I tried raspberry blast one year, then strawberry blast another year, both having the tendency to return to their mother plant single color plant (ie solid color vs striped) during the year. This year I'm trying two hanging planters of Picasso in Pink and 7 window boxes a combination of 21 Picasso and 14 Sweet Caroline sweet potato vine. Problem was when I got home from the garden store, they gad planted the ganging plants with the "pink" Picasso, while the 4" pots of the other Picasso were a deeper magenta color (can't remember color). Realized too Karen after everything was planted and I looked at all plant tags that they were different colors...my mistake I guess, but I would have thought to check either...now I will. Great plants skyways tho'. Never going back to scraggly petunias!
