I love these Denim N Lace - I worried at first because I planted them before a very rainy spell, they didn’t like that - but they bounced back. Question: Do you prune these to the ground in spring?

I love the plant but the rains have caused them to blow apart every which way & I’ ed had to place a wire circle support around them but they don’t look natural. Some of the bottom leaves are either dropping or becoming blackened!
