    Great in containers and landscapes. Can be used as a cut flower where it is best used in shorter vessels.

    Maintenance Notes: 

    Pentas is best grown in good, moist soil, but it can tolerate poorer soils as well. They prefer a pH close to 7, so consider amending soil with pelletized lime if planting in an area with highly acidic soil. They are quite heat tolerant. An application of controlled release fertilizer at planting should be sufficient, but an additional application in mid-summer will help the plants thrive into Fall.
