Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.

If you like bright, bold color, this is the plant for you! Bright yellow foliage contrasts with the rich amethyst blue flowers for an outstanding late summer display.

    • very difficult in clay soil. find a high spot for better drainage. extraordinary color combination of chartreuse foliage & cornflower blue flowers! self-seeds a bit, but never invasive. HATES wet feet. Bees go bonkers for blooms. Flowers when others are winding down.

    • LOVE this shrub - flowy form if unpruned, golden chartreuse leaves, blue flower spires in early fall, no extra irrigation given... it is a winner in my book!

    • This wonderful shrub is in full bloom in September in western NY. It has bloomed in a partial sunny location and the honey bees love it -- a beautiful blue!
