Arrived in pristine condition and the foliage is identical to the pictures PW presented here. I LOVE this shrub and can't wait to watch it grow! I'm already thinking of where I can fit another one:)
Vinho Verde™ Weigela florida
The optimum amount of sun or shade each plant needs to thrive: Full Sun (6+ hours), Part Sun (4-6 hours), Full Shade (up to 4 hours).
There’s nothing else quite like Vinho Verde™ weigela! After years of positive feedback from trial garden visitors during its evaluation, we're pleased to offer this unique selection, characterized by lime green leaves set off with a bold, black margin. Discovered as a variegated sport on a seedling whose parents were golden ‘Briant’s Rubidor’ and burgundy ‘Naomi Campbell’. Like all variegated plants, it will occasionally revert, but it reverts to all black, so will not overgrow the plant. A light crop of red-pink flowers appear in late spring, but the foliage - coupled with an irresistibly neat habit - are the primary reasons to grow this beauty.
Wondering about that name and the unusual spelling? Vinho Verde is a special wine from Portugal that's crisp and refreshing, much like the effect Vinho Verde weigela has in the landscape.Foliage InterestAttracts:HummingbirdsHarmful To:Deer

Vibrant foliage looks best when used in shrub borders, mixed borders, edging, groundcover, and in containers.Maintenance Notes:
Prefers well-drained soils but fairly adaptable to other soil types. If necessary, prune immediately after the spring bloom. Best flowering occurs in full sun, but light shade isn't harmful, particularly in warmer climates.
If desired, fertilize in early spring with a granular fertilizer formulated for woody plants, like a rose fertilizer.Vinho Verde™ Weigela florida 'SMNWFBGV' USPPAF, Can PBRAF
