    Features

This rose earns its spot in the Winner's Circle!

There's so much to love about Oso Easy Double Red® rose - its lush, deep red color. The way the blooms are held on long stems, well above the foliage, for a truly memorable display. And speaking of foliage, its a beautiful, lustrous green with excellent resistance to powdery mildew and black spot, so it stays looking good all season. No need to deadhead to keep those beautiful blooms coming, too! Oso Easy Double Red rose is a bit of a bigger plant - about 3-4'/.9-1.2 m tall and wide, but give it enough space in a sunny location, and you've given yourself the gift of an easy-care rose that you'll love to look at all season long.

Oso Easy Double Red rose is featured in our "Thoroughbred" magazine ad.

    • Absolutely LOVE my Oso! I ordered in 2021, the quart size, and now she’s over 5 feet tall. Absolutely breathtaking and by far my favorite rose! I wish I could post pictures of her just from this week.

    • I ordered this plant from proven winners along with other 10 plants over month and a half and the plant won’t grow past the point i received it on. This rose is nothing compared to the picture. The actual rose size is the size of an 1.5in. Nothing like the picture at all!! I water them daily. I also had a second package that was delivered to me but was not found when I got home. I called proven winners and they wouldn’t assist me with that anymore, said it was a matter for the police now. I’m a little too disappointed to have ordered over $300 in plants and I can’t even tell they made a difference in my garden. I was so looking forward to my garden but this has made me so disappointed. Don’t buy online, I recommend going to a nursery and picking out healthy plants on your own.

    • Planted this rose bush 4 years ago.,when I picked it up from the garden center it looked yellowish and weak so I wasn't sure what to expect. It took a while for the yellow leaves to clear up and now 4 years later every year from June till frost I get a continuous supply of beautiful red roses. It has survived attacks by the Japanese beetle but it didn't make any difference because the folliage and blooms where so abundant. Minimal care I cut it back in early spring and add some slow release fertilizer. I have a few more Oso easy varieties in my garden but double red is my favourite.

    • I have had this rose for around three years and this year it has been just amazing, Beautiful blooms all over it, I have had issues with leaf spot on several different Proven Winners roses in the past but not this one. I just wish more retailers carried it. I would recommend it to everyone, This one is truly a winner,

    • This is the second year I've had this plant in my garden. I usually stay away from roses because of all the disease and insect problems but this one is a winner. The plant is not about 3 feet by 3 feet with 6-10 stems with buds and blooms. It first bloomed this year in June and now it's fully loaded for a second season of flowers. Flowers are very lightly scented and stems just barely long enough to use as cuts in a small vase. Foliage is spotless with no signs of diseases. Japanese beetles seem to have ignored it, but it's been a light year for this beetle so time will tell. The plant has only been fed twice with a granular organic so considering our very short season, very cold winters and lots of liquid sunshine....pretty impressed.
