Purchased in early May 2016 and placed in hanging basket by itself.
Planted in quality potting mix, watered daily, fertilized weekly. Even watered 2X daily starting July 1.
As true a blue annual that one can find.
Looked stunning in May and throughout June, when temps were cooler and rain plentiful.
Neighbors even took notice.
Now here it is July 20 and the poor fella appears to be on the way out.
Browning, brittle and just plain burnt out I suppose.
The plant receives 3 hours mostly morning sun and no sun after about 1PM.
Contrast that with 2 lobelia (no PW varieties) that get more than 4 hours direct afternoon sun and are in excellent shape.
I water/fertilize them same as I do the PW Laguna; one of the 2 is in a hanging basket just like the Laguna.
I love the PW plants, especially their verbena and lantana offerings.
Not sure their lobelia are ready for the bigs yet...
Recommend for their stunning color but not their durability.
