These perennials are so underrated! I never see anyone talking about these online. I happened to buy one on sale last fall and planted it- wow! This year I’ve been so amazed by its nonstop bountiful blooms! I’m definitely getting more for my garden.

Winter mulch can reduce heaving that can occur with perennials from the freeze/thaw cycles of winter.
Tuscan Gold is heat tolerant and will tolerate somewhat dry soils. While deadheading may encourage additional blooming it isn't strictly necessary for a long bloom season. The breakthrough here is an easy flowering Heliopsis with a shorter plant size, outstanding garden performance and disease resistance. A long known great garden plant with good manners and a long flowering season, also makes a great cut flower!
An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.

I purchased and planted 2 of these last year in the spring of 2020. Im in a zone 4 area. Beautiful blooms all summer right thru the fall. Never had to deadhead, but they seem to be thirsty little fellas. I cut back all stocks in the fall and covered with burlap and leaves for the winter. I wasn't sure if they were going to come back this spring, bit once the weather got warmer, they began to sprout up. The spring was cooler than normal so it seemed to take forever, but the warm weather gave them the boost they needed and they really took off. I'm thinking of purchasing more next spring for my front flower bed. Very low maintenance and beautiful thruout the spring, summer and fall.

This is such a beautiful perennial! Flowered like crazy even the first year I planted it. HOWEVER, be prepared to fight aphids. My plant was so infested with them, it was very difficult to get rid of. The plant was able to recover and still put out a bunch of new blooms before the season was over. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely fabulous it blooms you don’t have to dead head it still looks great it’s (now the end if September 2019 ) I believe was sometime in July I planted...let’s hope it makes the winter we are typically a zone three but it is in a sheltered area and if not that’s OK I certainly will buy more next year this is a phenomenal plant As an older person this plant and all the proven winners as far as I’m concerned make life so much easier put it in and forget it water it and you’ve got a beautiful garden thank you
